Year 2, 2016 recipes
Years 1 - 3 have had a fabulous year cooking. We have learnt a number of new key skills and techniques to help develop an understanding of food nutrition and the basics of preparing food.
Year One has enjoyed making: cous cous with tomato and feta cheese, jacket potatoes with a choice of lots of yummy fillings, healthy lollies (eaten during their playtime!), pizzas, tomato, mozarella and basil pasta and pita breads with a choice of fillings.
Year Two has enjoyed making: spagetti carbonara, honey glazed chicken and vegetable skewers, eton mess, vegetable chow mein
Year Three has enjoyed making: homemade burgers with a side salsa, green vegetable stirfry, salmon fishcakes, spinach and ricotta parcels
Years 3 - 5 enjoying gardening.
In the Autumn we collected and made Autumnal bunting for the classrooms and prepared the soil ready for Spring planting. We have learnt how to grow seedlings and have nurtured them in our classrooms.
