Our tours consist of a short talk and introduction to the school from Mr Freeman, the Headteacher, followed by a walk around the school. This gives parents the opportunity to see the school in action, as well as to ask questions and find out all you need to know to help inform your choice.
Pre-school children are welcome to attend if parents wish.
Entry procedures: beginning the partnership between school and home
After places have been allocated (March-April) we invite all parents to a meeting in June where you meet your child's teacher and hear more about the arrangements for starting school. Following that there are opportunities for children to visit the school, and we also visit as many of the nurseries and pre-school settings as possible. Parents have the opportunity to meet with the teacher 1:1 to begin the partnership which is fundamental to your child's success. (This replaces the home visits).
In September we operate a short part-time system to ensure children all settle in well, but by the end of week 3 all children are full-time, unless there are circumstances which suggest a longer phased start would be beneficial to that child.
Further information about our entry system can be found by clicking on this link.
Admissions in other years
If you have a child of any other age and you would like more information and/or a tour of the school, please ring the school office. 01454 866781 . Whilst some of the year groups are full, there are a few places throughout the school, and due to our size, places become available fairly regularly due to people moving out of the area.
Prospectuses are no longer produced separately, as all of the information is now available on the school website.
If you would like any further information, please ask. If you would like to discuss any individual issues with the headteacher (eg special needs) please arrange this with the school office.
We look forward to seeing you.
